Master the skills to lead a digital operational resilience programme in a financial entity under DORA, from ICT risk management and governance through incident reporting and third-party oversight. One certification, three ways to earn it: study the official materials on your own schedule, add guided video to them, or attend five fixed days live-online with a PECB Platinum Trainer. The PECB certification exam and the certificate are included in every option.

The Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) is EU Regulation 2022/2554, in force since 17 January 2025, and it sets binding ICT risk management requirements for banks, insurers, investment firms and other financial entities operating in the EU, including the critical third parties, like cloud and IT service providers, that support them. DORA consolidates what used to be a patchwork of national and sector rules into a single framework covering ICT risk management, incident reporting, resilience testing and oversight of third-party ICT providers, and it carries real supervisory teeth, not just guidance.
Financial institutions now need people who can translate DORA’s five pillars into an operating reality. This course builds that competency directly: you learn how to plan and govern an ICT risk management programme, handle incident detection and regulatory reporting, run resilience testing, and manage third-party ICT risk. These are the same skills regulators and boards expect from whoever is accountable for DORA compliance.
All three formats cover the identical PECB curriculum and lead to the identical exam and credential. The difference is how the material reaches you and how much of your calendar it claims.

Choose live-online when you have a DORA programme to build and want a trainer to answer the questions your own entity and supervisor raise. Choose a self-paced format when the certification matters and the five consecutive days do not fit.
Every format leads to the same exam: the PECB Certified DORA Lead Manager exam. What differs is which credential you can apply for afterward, based on your prior professional experience. There’s no separate exam or extra study required for a higher tier. It’s the same certification, recognized at a level that matches your background.
| Credential | Experience required | ICT risk management experience |
|---|---|---|
| Provisional Manager | None | None |
| Manager | 2 years (1 in ICT risk mgmt) | 200+ hours |
| Lead Manager | 5 years (2 in ICT risk mgmt) | 300+ hours |
| Senior Lead Manager | 10 years (7 in ICT risk mgmt) | 1,000+ hours |
New to the field? You’ll qualify for Provisional Manager immediately after passing, a fully valid PECB credential, and can apply for a higher tier later as your experience grows, without retaking the course.
