What is DORA?

The Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) is EU Regulation 2022/2554, in force since 17 January 2025, and it sets binding ICT risk management requirements for banks, insurers, investment firms, and other financial entities operating in the EU — including the critical third parties, like cloud and IT service providers, that support them. DORA consolidates what used to be a patchwork of national and sector rules into a single framework covering ICT risk management, incident reporting, resilience testing, and oversight of third-party ICT providers — with real supervisory teeth behind it, not just guidance.

Financial institutions now need people who can translate DORA’s five pillars into an operating reality, not just read the regulation. This course builds that competency directly: you learn how to plan and govern an ICT risk management program, handle incident detection and regulatory reporting, run resilience testing, and manage third-party ICT risk — the same skills regulators and boards expect from whoever is accountable for DORA compliance.
